Party Look Tips and Tricks:
Sequins are always a good idea when it comes to celebrating New Year’s Eve
You can never go wrong with leather
Heels, heels, and more heels need I say more?
Don’t forget a clutch so you can look stylish while holding all your must have items for the night.
Add a little bling and sparkle to complete your look. Don’t overdue it with jewelry. If you’re wearing something sequin on top pair it with some bling earrings and a bracelet. If your wearing sequin on the bottom layer some necklaces and wear some fun earrings. You want to equalize your bling with some solid pieces.

HAPPY NEW YEAR’S EVERYONE! CHEERS TO 2017!
With the new year rolling in, I am getting excited about what is to come for 2017. This past year has been a roller coaster of new experiences for my family – we welcomed our first baby at the end of 2015 so 2016 has brought an abundance of changes to our family. Bryson and I were married for 5 years before being blessed with our little boy. We adapted to marriage and had become comfortable with our routine of doing what we wanted, when we wanted. When we had Camden, our life as we knew it changed drastically. My mindset of thinking about myself flipped to thinking about this little person ALL the time, and myself second. Honestly, this was a change that took me awhile to get used to. I really struggled with not having time to myself for the first little while. While I still cherish those small moments of a quiet bath, reading a book, watching a much anticipated T.V. show, etc. the moments that I get to experience with Camden have brought more happiness to my life than I ever imagined possible. Here’s to one year down, and many more happy-filled years with this little man in our life.
On another note, I am sooo excited about the anticipation of the coming year’s fashion trends.
- Embellished sneakers
- Athletic inspired pieces
- Mule shoes
- Bra tops
- Tie embellishments
- Low-rise jeans
- Silver jewelry
- Big shoulders
- Stretchy denim
- Heels 3″-4″ high
- Classic sneakers
I’ll be honest, the thought of stretchy denim going out of style might make me cry. I love wearing comfy stretchy pants that feel like spandex while still looking professional.
What do you think about the coming trends? Which do you like and which do you dislike? Comment below and let us know what you think.
Happy New Year lovelies!
This vest from J Crew Factory has been one of my favorite additions to my wardrobe. If you don’t have a puffy vest, I would highly recommend adding one to your wardrobe too! What I like even more is the polka dots on the vest, they make this vest the perfect subtle statement piece that can be paired with other patterns (like plaid) or solid tops.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and I hope you have a fantastic New Year!
Quick and Easy Tutorial on How to Create Holiday Ombre Lips!
Three Must Haves for Ombre Lips
Is anyone else shocked that Christmas will be here in a week? I am! It feels like December has flown by. This week I wanted to show you my preppy holiday look. I love layering in cold weather. To make your look more holiday themed, add a festive colored necklace. Pops of color are always a great idea!

Christmas is approaching and I have party after party on my calendar. Most often these parties include visiting with people I have not seen all year and I want to look my very best. So, I thought it would be fun to come up with a few ideas on how to glam up for these holiday parties.
Since it is winter and most people don’t have a sun-kissed glow to their skin, don’t overdue it with contouring. Put on foundation and powder, then highlight with a lighter powder under your eyes, along the bridge of your nose, in between your brows, and on your chin. Then with a subtle darker powder, add some color just below your cheek bones, along the sides of your nose, and along each corner of your forehead. Blend with powder.
Contouring kit I’m currently using (it’s less than $25 and works great!):
Be creative with your eye shadow and try adding gold tones this holiday season. I have loved using gold along the inner eye and along my brow bone, copper along my crease, and black in the corner of my eye. If you are feeling brave, try adding gold glitter eyeliner to finish off this holiday look.
Obsessed with this eye shadow:
RED! If you are feeling brave, I would highly recommend trying out red for the holidays, it gives the perfect Christmas look.
Happy Holidays! Enjoy this Christmas season filled with family, friends, food, and fun!
During the winter I start to miss bright colors. I tend to stick to black and grey when it is cold outside but wanted to incorporate a bit of color in this week’s outfit of the week. I paired this colorful top with turquoise pants and colored earrings for a fun, bright look. This is already making me want Spring to come!
Have a wonderful week!
